No no no, I am not pregnant. We have indeed rescued another dog from an animal shelter!
Meet Penny!!
She is a very cute puppy but do not let those cute little eyes deceive you! She is a puppy with an attitude! Which means she fits in perfectly with our little family. Buster doesn't seem to mind her too much. They love to play tug o' war, she loves to nip at his tail and he loves to hit her with it. We are finding out that she has a lot of the same mannerisms as Buster. They are both very protective of their toys when the other wants to play with it and both of them like to nip at your ankles when they do not get their way or when they want to play. We don't have a gate to block her a room when we are gone or sleeping so we improvised with a cardboard box and duct tape. It seemed to be working until she figured out that if she jumps about 50 times on it she can push it down...Looks like we might have to invest in a gate.
Oh, and let me just add that right now we not only have ONE puppy but TWO! We are holding a puppy for Bryson's cousin while they are on vacation. So it is double duty...and when people say having a puppy is good training for having a baby, they really mean it. I never really took that statement to heart but now that we have a puppy, I wish I had listened to them. There is nothing like going to bed at 12:30ish after having to calm your puppy down then getting up at 4:30 to let them out then play with her until they falls asleep and lastly waking up and staying up at 6 because they need to go potty...and when I mean "they" in all those statements, I really mean the other puppy (Rocket) not Penny. Poor puppy does not like the crate...
All in all we are very happy to have her part of our family! We couldn't be more blessed with such an amazing puppy. We can't wait until she is fully trained and I don't have to run the carpet steam cleaner everyday :S.....

April Showers
Will hopefully bring May flowers. If it doesn't freeze or snow again. I am over the cold weather right now. Don't get me wrong, I love when it gets cold and the first and second snowfall, but the 3rd and 4th always seem old and dull to me. Winter no longer brings excitement to me. Now I want spring. I want to be able to go running outside without coming back with my nose running out the wazoo or play outside with Buster for more than 10 min at a time. I need to thaw out. Of course, once spring and then summer comes I will be complaining how hot it is and how much I can not wait for fall and winter. This seems like a never ending thought process. Oh boy...
Well once again it has been over a month since I have updated this poor, neglected blog. Lets see what I can remember what has happened since then.
First off, Bryson and I shared our first Valentines Day as a married couple. We celebrated by eating dinner at Macaroni Grill, which was DELISH! Next came taxes. Took me almost all day to get everything together and file online. Whew, it stunk but it was VERY rewarding in the end! However, it seems like that reward vanished as fast as it came. Bummer.
March brought our One Year Anniversary! We had lunch at J. Alexanders and ate some cake. Later in the summer we will be celebrating our Anniversary more celebratory like. We plan on taking the AmTrak to St.Louis, watching a Cardinals game and then taking the AmTrak to Chicago and watching a Cubs game then the AmTrak all the way back To KC. It will be glorious!! I can't wait!
Moving on.
Last weekend we took the youth group to Silver Dollar City for Young Christians Weekend. It was absolutely amazing! We were able to see Fireflight, Abandon, Caleb Rowden, Sanctus Real and Tenth Avenue North in concert! Not to mention we witnessed some pretty fantastic speakers! We rode rides, ate some expensive park food, got sunburned and bonded even further with the youth. I rate that weekend on a scale from 1-10 and 11!
Buster is still being his hyper/amazing self that he is. I found a red bandana lying around and put it around his neck. He looks like an old western/handsome doggy. I think his girlfriend, Lacy approved of his new look.
Thats it for now!
God Bless!

It is ABOUT TIME!
Almost 2 months later I finally decided to write a new blog. Too much has happened in the last two months that if I were to write about everything it would be way too long for me to even follow through with it. I'm sure I would have ADD half way through writing it. I already have ADD and it is within the first 20 seconds...so this will be a quick overview on what has happened. To make it easier, I will make it a photo overview. GO!
^Christmas with my family in Oklahoma. As you can see we are quite the group and I am proud to say those are my wonderful, amazing, grandparents.
^Took the youthgroup to Colorado for some intense snowtubing!
^First snowfall of winter happened in January! Snow angels were made and long glorious walks were taken in the snow.
^ Blizzard of 2011. Accumulated about 12 inches of snow and roughly 3-5 foot snow drifts! It has been a loooong time since I have witnessed such a great snowfall!
^ Youthgroup superbowl party at our house! Ended with an epic snowball fight.
End picture overview.
Bryson and I feel so blessed to be right where we are and doing what we are doing. There are rough times but we know God only gives us what we can handle. We wouldn't trade the relationships and memories we have made for all the Sour-Patch Kids candy in the world! That just shows how much we love Sour-Patch Kids candy...
